Raipur. Faculty of Arts & Humanities organized a National Webinar on the topic “Career Options in the Post-COVID World”. The webinar was organized with the intention of guiding students in choosing the appropriate career.
The session was conducted online on the platform of Google Meet. The session was supervised by the Dean, Faculty of Arts & Humanities, Dr. Shilpi Bhattacharya. The Keynote speaker of the event was Dr.Namrata Shrivastava who is a faculty in the Economics Department of Kalinga University.
The webinar began with welcoming all participants and dignitaries to the event. Dr. Namrata Shrivastava commenced her session by giving an informative account of the COVID scenario around the world. With the help of a powerpoint presentation, she emphasized the various topics which the session was going to throw light on. She further discussed about the effects of a Global Pandemic on the job market and how the needs and qualifications expected by employers are changing according to the Work-from-home culture.
Dr. Shrivastava enlightened the students about how to effectively carry out their studies in the online platforms and how to educationally benefit from the pandemic scenario. She further elaborated the types of jobs that are in demand at present and what are the qualifications required to apply for them. She ended her session by discussing the online websites which are helpful for finding jobs and asked the students to be optimistic and not lose hope in the present scenario.
The session ended with a vote of thanks given by the host, Ms. Anurima Das. The Session received positive feedbacks and students expressed their wish of attending similar informative webinars in future also.
