Raipur. Kalinga University is going to organize a grand Film festival and Award night for the upcoming talents of Chhattisgarh. The preparation for the event is on full swing. In this connection an important meeting took place recently with Dr.SunielParashar, Senior film producer critic and journalist from New Delhi. Various issues related to film festival were discussed during the meeting.
Some of the films with which he has been associated are:- Sirf Tum, IshqQayamat, Deewanapan, Koi Mere Dil Se Puchhe, Bus Itna Sa Khwab Hai, Ajnabee, Tum Bin, Raj, Ab HogaDharna Unlimited etc.
Dr. Jasmin Joshi, Faculty of Commerce and Management welcomed the guest with potted plant. Dr Sandeep Gandhi, Registrar, Kalinga University gave welcome speech. Detailed discussion on organizing the Kalinga University film festival was done in presence of the guest and the faculty members. Department of Journalism and Mass Communication and Film making organized the event in which Assistant Professors of Journalism Department, Mr. Sheikh Abdul Kadir, MsTuhinaChoubey, MsGeetikaBramhabhattand Mohammed Yunus Rizvi were present.
A memento was presented to the guest at the end of the meeting by Dr Sandeep GandhiRegistrar. The grand event is proposed for the month of August 2023. It is for the first time that Kalinga University is going to organize such an event for the students of Film Making. Many big and renowned personalities from Bollywood and film industries will be part of the film festival.
