So that patriotism and leadership power can be developed in them with the feeling of becoming a responsible citizen. In this sequence, VarshaDhruw, a student of the university, on behalf of the 8 CG Girls Battalion, on the instructions of the NCC Group Headquarters was presented ‘Group Commander Best Cadet Award’ by the NCC. The University was also awarded a memento for the best work by the officers of NCC.

Present on the occasion, C.H.M of NCC,Mr. Nitendra Singh said that the objective of NCC is to develop the ideals of character, brotherhood, discipline, secular outlook, spirit of courage and selfless service among the young citizens.In addition, it also aims to create a pool of organized, trained and motivated youth with leadership qualities in all walks of life, who will serve the nation, irrespective of the career they choose. He also mentioned that the NCC Cadets from Kalinga University are actively involved in various activities of the NCC.

Havildar CK Singh of 8 CG Girls Battalion said that continuous progress of the nation takes place only by working with the spirit of discipline and dedication. NCC cadets look forward to continuously take the nation in a positive direction through their energy. We are proud that Cadet VarshaDhruw has lived up to the expectations of her battalion and her university.

The Registrar of the University, Dr. Sandeep Gandhi while expressing gratitude to the officials of NCC said that National Cadet Corps (NCC) training is imparted in the university with the aim of developing discipline, honesty, secularism and patriotism among the students.

Our goal as a university is not only to focus on preparing the students for their career upon completion of their studies but also to ensure that their all round development takes place. Due to skillful training and guidance of the Lieutenant Commander of the University, Mrs. VibhaChandrakar the cadet of the University has got the Group Commander Best Cadet Award.
