Kalinga University Signs Memorandum of Understanding as Knowledge Partners and Think Tank and conducts COMBAT Business Plan on Occasion of World Entrepreneurs Day

Raipur. Kalinga University is a leading University in central India. It is always aspiring to increase the employment skills of its students by developing industry-oriented curriculum and training facilities. To this effect the faculty of Commerce & Management Conducts various activities.

In pursuance of development of Decision making and analytical skills the Kalinga University Innovation and Incubation Cell in association with Linkup Property Development Ltd, UK P Property Holding Ltd., UK and Spran International PTE Ltd. Singapore conducted COMBAT Business plan for the students of the University. A total of 55 teams participated in it.On Occasion of World Entrepreneurs Day 21stAugust 2021 the results were announced with  exciting Prizes: 1st Prize =10,000/- 2nd Prize=5,000/- and 3rd Prize=2500/-. The coordinator of the event was Ms. Komal Gupta Assistant Professor Faculty of Commerce & Management, Kalinga University. Dr. Sandeep Gandhi, Registrar Kalinga University announced the results praising the students for their innovative ideas and inviting them to start up their business at Kalinga University Incubation and Innovation Cell.

Mr. Ankit Singh (B.Sc.-Biotechnology – 3rd Sem) got the first position and the prize money of Rs. 10000/-. He submits a report of Dried Flowers Business Idea. There is a tie between Mr. Mojahidul Islam (BBA GM – 6th Sem) and Mr. Avneesh Kumar (BBA GM – 6th Sem) they got the second position and the prize money of Rs. 5000/- each. They submitted and Mr. Akshay Kumar (M.Sc. 3rd Sem) got third position and the prize money of Rs. 2500/-

Kalinga University Innovation and Incubation Cell also contacted various industry leaders to act as knowledge partners and share their experience in enhancing the skills of the students and Faculty on 21stAugust 2021. The Institute Industry Interaction cell of Faculty of Commerce & Management has invited meeting with their knowledge partner and think tank to mentor the upcoming academic session.

The Event was Presided by Honourable Vice Chancellor Dr R. Shridhar convened by Dean Faculty of Commerce & Management Dr Monika Sethi Sharma along with her faculty team and Knowledge partners Mr. Dilip Mohanty General Manager HR Jayaswal NECO, Mrs. Manjusha Periyal Director ANM Consultants, Dr. Parul Parmar General Manager HRVNR Seed, Ms.Dolly Keshwani CA & Mr. Vishesh CA & CS, Mr. Deepak Jain CA, Mr. Abhinav sharma.

The Guest were welcomed and Introduced by Dr Paritosh Dube along with Ms. Komal Gupta, Ms. Ruchi Gupta and Mrs. Ankita Malik Assistant Professors Faculty of Commerce & Management

In the inaugural session Honourable Vice Chancellor Kalinga University Dr R. Shridhar presented Memento and honour scarf to the guests. He spoke about the rising need of Institute Industry Interaction in order to make the students more employment oriented. He asked the experts to give their valuable inputs in making the courses and the training of students more focussed and skill oriented.

Dr Monika Sethi Sharma, explained the components of updated structure of course curriculum of the Faculty of Commerce & Management with specific emphasis on mentoring faculty and upgrading the course according to the need of the industry.

6 Memorandum of Understanding for being knowledge partners and think tank were signed on this occasion.

During the event the expert panel provided their inputs on enriching the Curriculum further and increase the training component of the syllabus. The event was attended by the Teachers of Faculty of Commerce & Management.
