Kalinga University organized a Two Day National Conference on “Recent Innovations in Emerging Computing Technologies (RIECT-2022)”

Raipur : Two Days National Conference on “Recent Innovations in Emerging Computing Technologies (RIECT-2022)” organized by the Department of Computer Science and Information Technology of Kalinga University from 04th to 05th May 2022. The conference took place in hybrid mode (Online and Offline) at the Auditorium of Kalinga University.

The Chief Guest during the Inauguration session was Dr. M. K. Verma, Vice-Chancellor of Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University (CSVTU), Bhilai. In his address, Dr.Verma informed that the Future largely depends on the science of computers as computers have their roots everywhere. He pointed out that the knowledge and capabilities of computers we cherished eight years back have now become obsolete. He spoke about Artificial Intelligence, about machine learning. He said we are waiting for the day when the high magnitude of wireless power transmission becomes a reality in the future. A poster exhibition was inaugurated by the Chief Guest.

During the Inauguration session Dr. R. Shridhar, Vice-Chancellor of Kalinga University gave the welcome speech. He informed about the developments taking place in the world of Computers, the use of Artificial Intelligence, and Robotics. Dean of Students Welfare, Dr. Asha Ambhaikar, expressed her views on the purpose of organizing the National Conference as a quest to find out what is new and latest in today’s rapidly changing technological world.
Guest of honor. Dr. Kokula Krishna Hari, Director of Strategies and Policies, World Data Organization, London, UK expressed his views through online mode.

Convener of the conference Mr.KailashDewangan, Assistant Professor, Department Incharge of Department of Computer Science and IT informed that over 300 registrations have been received for the conference. Papers were presented on sub-themes of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning. Data mining and warehousing, edge computing, Quantum computing, Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality, Blockchain, the Internet of Things (IoT), 5G, Deep learning, Cyber Security, Image Processing, Spatial Computing, Computer Vision, and Digital Health.
Several papers were presented on the second day which began at 10:00 AM. Chief Guest was Dr.RajarshiMahapatra, Associate Professor & Dean Academics, IIIT, Naya Raipur. Keynote Speakers were Dr. Aruna A. Deoskar, Principal ATSS College of Business Studies and Computer Applications, Pune, Dr. Venkanna U, Assistant Professor, IIIT Naya Raipur, Dr.Vijay M Wadhai, Director, Astute Academy, Chicago, USA, Dr.ManaliKshirsagar, YeshwantraoChavan College of Engineering, Dr.DhimanSaha, Assistant Professor, IIT Bhilai.

Best Paper awards were given to the participants, Mr. Anshuman Singh, Mustafa from Afghanistan, for Poster presentation, Gipson, Mr. Ravi Upadhyay.
Mr.KapilKelkar, HoD Fashion, Mr. AmanKatariya,Mr. L Vishal for a poster presentation. Ms. SakshiVerma, Mr. Salish Umar Ladan, and others were presented certificates for best presentation during the ceremony.

Proceedings of RIECT-2022 were released in a booklet on the occasion by the dignitaries present on the occasion i.e.Dr. R Shridhar, Vice-Chancellor, Dr.RajarshiMahapatra, Dr. Asha Ambhaikar, DSW, Mr. Rahul Mishra, Dean Academics Affairs, Mr.KailashDewangan, and others.
